Harris Teeter Complaints Increase

We all love having a grocery store on Campbell Avenue. We spend a lot of time and money there. But this two-level Harris Teeter is 20 years old. Its infrastructure shows it. Last year the elevator was out of commission for weeks.

The SCA has been receiving more complaints about odor and health conditions. At the Sept. 23rd meeting, County Board Member Susan Cunningham reported on what’s been done to the loading dock.

In June, the SCA met with and then wrote the Harris Teeter regional manager about why it makes business sense to renovate this store just as Federal Realty has now invested $16 million in the Village streetscape.
We haven’t heard back. You can read this letter on our Documents page.
