A recent ARLNow article focused on 87-year-old Alan Wile.  For years he’s been picking up litter in Glencarlyn Park every morning.

Shirlington is lucky to have several neighbors like him.  You may know some of them – or maybe you are one. They walk Shirlington and Allie Freed Parks and Four Mile Run Trail picking up litter on a regular basis. Here’s a photo of one of them with his grabber.
