Happy new year! Our January 9th meeting will be a working session of the Board with no special presentation. Meanwhile, here’s some news: Village streets will be cleared of special pick-up lanes and pedestrian ramps within 60 days, we are told. Hopefully this will also reduce double-parked cars or there’s going to be a lot more ticketing… Astro Beer Hall is aiming to open at the corner of Quincy and Campbell in May…We asked the County Board to find out why it takes so long for new small retail business to open (eg. Jeni’s, Our Mom Eugenia’s)…SCA, in coordination with Green Valley counterparts, is working to secure special NC funding to repair the surface of the Nelson Street footbridge.
